Apartment door slammed, key in the wrong place, smart lock not pairing. We pick the door open without damaging the lock and without involving your property manager — assuming you can prove you live there.

Apartment / condo lockout in Port St. Lucie — picked entry for tenants who can prove tenancy (lease, utility bill, or PM authorization).
Cost: $75-130 daytime, $115-170 after-hours. 15-30 min typical dispatch in PSL.
We don't unlock doors based on "trust me, I live here" alone — Florida law and our liability insurance require documented proof of residency.
Florida law requires locksmiths to verify someone is authorized to enter before unlocking. For apartments / condos, that means one of:
If you can't produce any of these on-site, we may have to coordinate with PSL Police as a witness, or work with your property management's emergency line. Either way takes longer.
For roommates / partners not on the lease: a notarized letter of permission from the leaseholder works, OR the leaseholder authorizing by phone with us calling to verify.
Most PSL apartment buildings install Schlage B60 or Kwikset Signature Series Grade 2 deadbolts. Some newer mid-rise developments (Veranda Bay, Telaro) install Schlage Encode or Yale Assure smart locks. Older condo stock (Sandpiper Bay, Bayshore, some River Park) sometimes has builder-grade Defiant / Brinks Grade 3 that's easier to pick.
All of these are pickable without damage 95%+ of the time. The exception is properly installed Medeco / Mul-T-Lock high-security cylinders — rare on rentals because the per-cylinder cost is high — but if your property has them, we'll tell you on the phone what to expect.

Real person on the phone in under 2 rings. Locksmith on-site in 15-30 minutes. Honest price before any tools come out.
Call (772) 284-5142No — Florida law requires verification, and our liability insurance specifies the same. We accept lease + ID, utility bill + ID, recent mail + ID, or property manager authorization. Without those, we can coordinate with PSL Police as witnesses or work through your property management's emergency line.
Most consumer-grade apartment locks (Schlage B60, Kwikset Signature, smart-locks with mechanical override) open in 5-12 minutes after the tech starts working. Older builder-grade (Defiant, Brinks) usually under 5 minutes. Anti-pick high-security cylinders are rare on rentals but if installed, may require drilling.
Try them first — most properties have an emergency line or after-hours number, and PM access is usually free. We get called when the PM is unreachable, the wait is too long, or the property charges a steep emergency-access fee.
$75-115 daytime, $115-170 after-hours for standard apartment locks. Smart-lock troubleshooting (battery, pairing, reset) runs $80-140 and often resolves without picking.
By us — no, we don't report lockouts to PMs unless you ask us to. Some property managers have policies that ANY locksmith service requires PM authorization (common in luxury / managed communities); in those cases the PM has to be involved by definition.
Yes if the leaseholder authorizes by phone (we call them to verify), or with a notarized letter of permission. Otherwise we have to defer to the property manager.
Apartment lockouts come from PSL's larger multi-family properties — apartments along PSL Boulevard, the older condo stock in Sandpiper Bay and River Park, the newer mid-rise / luxury in Veranda Bay, Telaro, and PGA Verano.
